Popular ROC Block now available with unique Ball-joint Stand-up

A completely unique ball-joint stand-up solution for Rutgerson’s ROC Blocks is one of the new Swedish innovations being launched at METSTRADE in Amsterdam this week.
“It is the lowest stand-up solution on the market”, says MD Charlotte Rutgerson.

The new ball-joint stand-up from Rutgerson is equally strong in all directions. Under load it automatically adjusts to the correct angle and stays there. As the lowest stand-up solution on the market it allows the line to exit very close to deck which can be crucial when it comes to preventing winch overrun.

“Winch overrun has caused many frustrating and dangerous situations onboard, says managing director Charlotte Rutgerson. “Choosing a lower stand-up solution will in most cases be a much easier way to deal with the problem than changing the position or the height of the winch.

The new ball joint stand-up can be ordered in two different version, one to be mounted on deck and one extra low through-deck version. Both come in a kit with a ROC Block – a strong and durable roller bearing block in aluminum – available in two different sizes, 80 and 100 mm.

Another new innovation in the growing ROC Block assortment is a simple yet strong through-sheave becket solution allowing the block to be even more flexible and useful onboard. The full ROC Block assortment will be on display in Rutgerson’s stand (12:731) in the Swedish Pavilion at METRADE in Amsterdam 14-16 November.

All products from Rutgerson are designed and produced in Marstrand, Sweden, like they have been for more than four decades. The new products will be available for order in January 2018.
