Rutgerson’s assortment of AIR Flush portlights has grown with a bolted solution for Area I, IIb, III and IV. The new portlight comes with a bolt-set with specially made black anodized aluminium nuts, that aligns perfectly with the outer surface of the glass panel, as well as countersunk, black-oxidized stainless-steel screws from inside that aligns with the inner frame. The bolted version can be installed on a fixed acrylic (PMMA) or Polycarbonate (PC) panel with a specially milled cut-out for the opening and fixing bolts. Just tighten the screws all the way to the bottom, and the portlight will position itself and align the glass with the outer surface.
For the glued version that can be used in Area IIb, III and IV, an installation jig for both sizes has also been developed to make the installation of the portlight as quick and easy as possible. This product is meant to be installed on a fixed acrylic (PMMA), Polycarbonate (PC) or tempered glass by gluing it in place.
The portlight glass is completely flushed to the fixed glass from the outside. The frame that is fixed on the glass panel is made of anodised aluminium, the window is made of a high grade acrylic glass. The hinges are friction hinges, which means that the lid stays open by itself. Hinges, opening knobs and the remaining components are made of composite and acidproof stainless steel.
