Sponsoring & Partnerships

Rutgerson has a long history of sponsoring large events and teaming up with great sailors. Supporting the local sailing community and inspiring young people to discover sailing is also very important to us.  We always welcome new requests, so please don’t hesitate to contact us if you are planning an event or a project which you think might interest us.

MSS – Marstrand Sailing Society

Rutgerson has a longstanding and close relationship with Marstrand Sailing Society (MSS), where we actively support both grassroots and youth sailing.

In addition to our involvement in the scheduled racing activities, we contribute to the development of the club’s future sailors and infrastructure in several ways. We are currently supporting the construction of a new start boat, which will be used for races and events, strengthening MSS’s ability to deliver high-quality competitions.

We have also taken part in the renovation of the club’s Optimist dinghies and provided racing sails for an RS Feva boat—initiatives that give young sailors improved equipment and better opportunities to develop their skills.

Additional initiatives within MSS

  • New start boat under construction
  • Renovation of Optimist dinghies
  • Racing sails for RS Feva

Through our support, we aim to help more sailors grow within the sport—from beginners to competitive level.

Marstrand Big Boat Race

Marstrand Big Boat Race is one of the premier regattas for larger yachts in Northern Europe, bringing together top-level sailors each year in a unique setting. The event is part of the ORC circuit and included in the Viking Challenge series, a flagship ORC initiative for Northern Europe.

Rutgerson is a proud sponsor of this event, which combines high-level racing with strong community spirit and a shared passion for sailing. The regatta serves as an important meeting point for sailors, teams, and enthusiasts, reinforcing Marstrand’s position as a world-class sailing destination.

Through our involvement, we aim to support the development of competitive sailing while contributing to inspiring experiences both on and off the water.

Marstrand School Project

A few days each semester, children at Marstrand Primary School leave the classroom to get out on the water and learn about sailing, boating, and safety at sea. The program includes children aged 7–13 and gives them a chance to build confidence on the water while discovering an important part of local life in Marstrand. The initiative is made possible through close collaboration with Marstrands Segelsällskap and with Rutgerson as main sponsor. For us, this is a meaningful way to support young people, strengthen the local sailing community, and help more children experience the sea—regardless of whether they come from sailing families or not.

Sailing SV Delos 2.0

Rutgerson is proud to support Sailing SV Delos and their next chapter, Delos 2.0—a custom-built aluminium catamaran currently under construction in Australia.
