BATTEN RECEPTACLE 1601 & 1602 – New improved design!

We are pleased to announce a new improved design of our popular batten receptacles 1601 and 1602. 

The length of both models have been extended with 15mm, resulting in stronger holding on all battens – round and flat. This change also allows higher tolerance for battens that accidently have been cut a little bit too short. Another improvement is a M10/M12-indication which is clearly engraved on each receptacle to help distinguishing the two models. These changes have already been implemented on the 1601 (mid-September), whilst the 1602 will be replaced later this year.

The 1601 & 1602 are suitable for monohulls up to 55ft, and multihulls up to 45ft. They are the smallest models in our range of Batten Receptacles in Aluminum, especially designed for big boats and high loads. Significant for all models in this range is a unique push-button funtion; no tools are required to open the lid. You simply press the button and slide off the lid whenever you need to insert or remove a batten.

Like all other products from Rutgerson these batten receptacles are designed and produced in Marstrand, Sweden. They are made of black anodized aluminum and stainless steel, and can be ordered with titanium screws for carbon fiber sails.

New hole pattern & measurements (1601 & 1602)

NOTE: The new 1601 and 1602 is 15mm longer than the previous version; i.e. the fixing holes are in a new position and you might have to adjust the length of the batten pocket. Please also note that the new lid does not fit the old body, and vice versa.
