Rutgerson extends assortment of user-friendly batten receptacles

Following the success of Rutgerson’s user-friendly batten receptacles for big boats, we now introduce a smaller model with the same clever design.  

The new batten receptacle 1587 is made of a glass fiber reinforced composite which is extremely durable and UV resistant. It is dimensioned for boats from 30-42 feet and complements the larger model 1597 in the same range. Both can be used with either round or flat battens.

The clean and user-friendly design comes from our popular batten receptacle range in aluminum. No tools are required to open the lid. You simply press the button and slide off the lid whenever you need to insert or remove a batten. The tensioning is easily adjusted with a key, and the trimming can be monitored through a window in the lid.

Like all other products from Rutgerson these batten receptacles are designed and produced in Marstrand, Sweden. They fit any M10 threaded battcars or bolts and can be ordered with titanium screws for carbon sails.

The new 1587 was officially launched at METSTRADE show in Amsterdam 19-21 November and will be available from 1 January 2020.
