Joakim Brantingson is the first Swede in ten years taking up the challenge to participate in the more than 4000 nm extreme solo transatlantic race Mini-Transat in 2021. The Mini 6.50 class is the smallest in transatlantic yacht racing. Brantingsons boat, which will be fully equipped with deck hardware from Rutgerson, may not be longer than 6,5×3 meter.

A couple of days each semester all children at Marstrand Primary School leave their class rooms to to get out of on the water to learn sailing and enjoy our marine surroundings in a safe way. A unique school program sponsored by Rutgerson and made possible thanks to close collaboration with the local sailing club Marstrands Segelsällskap.

Rutgerson Marin is back for another year as official supplier and partner in GKSS Match Cup Marstrand in our home town 1-5 July. This is one of the largest sports events in Scandinavia, attracting more than 100,000 visitors every year to enjoy the close-action racing along our shores. Rutgerson has sponsored Marstrand Big Boat Race since the start 2012. We have even made the prize trophys. With more than 70 participating teams it is the largest regatta for big boats on the Swedish west coast. The concept is simple, two days of intense racing and fun social events for both pros and amateurs. New for 2019 is a sports boat class attracting many of the sportier boats around Scandinavia.

Johan and Malin left Sweden in January 2016, and have since then been sharing their sailing adventures with thousands of YouTube-fans every Friday. As their baby daughter Vera joined the crew in 2019 they simply traded their beloved Beason 40 for a beautiful Najad 44, and continued to sail as a family. Both their boats have been equipped with deck hardware from Rutgerson.
